SoCal Winter Retreat
February 5-7, 2010
This year the CRC So Cal Winter Retreat will be held at Mile High Pines Camp in Angelus Oaks, CA from February 5-7. This retreat has been a tradition for years and in the last 2 years found new life at Mile High Pines Retreat Center in Angeles Oaks, CA. This year’s gathering will be hosted by a group of So Cal CRC youth leaders and centered around the theme: “Focus” where students will be challenged to “Fix their eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). Last year, 180 people from 12 different Christian Reformed Churches were a part of the weekend which included time for rest, worship, and cool games in the snow. We’re always amazed at the ways God works through times like this one. Testimonies last year included students turning from alcohol abuse, students experiencing God’s goodness in overwhelming ways through worship and in the beauty of his creation, and students committing or re-committing their lives to follow Jesus. At these gatherings, we’re experiencing firsthand that we’re stronger together than we are alone.
