Hospitality Committee
Romans 12:13
says, “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice
hospitality.” The Hospitality Committee oversees Sunday
Refreshments, Meal on Wheels, Open Table, Special Events, Church
Potlucks, Baby Showers, Dine In/Dine Out, and other church service and
fellowship events.

Service Group
The
Crossroads Service Group is active every week in a
variety
of service and outreach ministries. Feel free to join them for any of
the following service opportunities—more volunteers are always welcome!
-
The
first Thursday of each month we serve breakfast to the homeless from
5:30-7:30am at Interfaith Community Services
in Escondido.
-
The
second Thursday of each month we serve dinner at Merle's Place from
4:30-6:30pm. Merle's Place is a shelter/recovery home for veterans at
Interfaith.
-
The
third Thursday of each month we provide a meal at Tikkun Home, a house
for women learning to become independent, sponsored by Interfaith.
Creation Keepers
Creation Keepers is a group of Crossroads members who seek to be
responsible stewards of God's creation and increase awareness and
opportunities for others to do the same. We meet at O'Sullivans in
Escondido on the last Monday of every month. All are welcome to come
and brainstorm.
Benevolence
Benevolent collections are used for those in our church or in our
community who may have special needs. Please contact a Deacon if
you know of a need. This information will be confidential.
Disabilities Concerns
Disability Concerns promotes the full participation of people
with disabilities in the church by challenging congregations to
eliminate barriers to this participation, by assisting people
with disabilities and their families to express their needs and
offer their gifts to the church, and by providing information on
disability resources and services.
Open
Table
A group of
volunteers who provide lunch for some members, regular attendees and
visitors of Crossroads at their home 3-4 Sundays per year.
Mobile Meals Ministry
For those
who enjoy cooking, meals are prepared and brought to families in our
congregation with needs.
Facilities
Volunteers are always needed to help with the
maintaining of our church facilities—interior and exterior. The
Facilities committee meets once a month to discuss priority maintenance
issues around church. However, each week volunteers are needed to
complete both minor or major projects and tasks around our church
facilities.
